Close-up image bank

Within this photograph, we see a person's eye. We know that this is a close-up photograph of a person's eye due to the fact that the space within the shot is covered with the factors that surround the eye/area of the eye. We are able to see the pupils of the eye, the eyelashes and the skin above the eye. We are able to figure out that the photograph is of an eye as it is filling the majority of the shot. I think that this photograph clearly shows the use of close-up because it's detailed and informs the audience.

Within this photograph we can see the top of a can of drink. The shot allows for the audience to see the detail that is on the top of the can. We are able to see the opening of the can after it has been opened. I think that putting this photograph in black and white was a good idea as it highlights the detail of the close-up in a better light. This photograph is good because uses the technique to create an informative description of the top of the can.

This photograph uses the close-up technique in order to inform the audience of the detail that can be seen on the leaf and the insect. By using close-up, the insect is the main subject within the shot and therefore looks more detailed and effective towards the eye. I think that this photograph is one that it quite good due to the fact that although the main subject is the insect, the detail within the leaf helps to inform the audience that it's a close-up. The fact that the background is blurred also indicates the use of minimal depth of field.

This photograph uses the close-up technique in order to demonstrate the detail shown within the girl's face. By using this technique, the audience is able to see the detail of the girl's eyes, eyebrows, lips and other facial features. We can tell that this shot is a close-up due to the fact that we do not see her whole face, but instead the majority of her face. This demonstrates that the shot is zoomed in rather than being taken normally. I think that this photograph was really good due to the fact the detail within the woman's face can be really well highlighted and therefore makes it look really effective.

Within this photograph, we see a close-up of a kitten. We know that it is a close-up due to the fact that we can see a lot of detail in the kitten's face. The fact that the background is blurred also indicates that the kitten is closer to the screen as it's the thing in focus. I think that this photograph is good because it demonstrates the use of the close-up technique really well. This is due to the fact that it highlights the colours within the kitten's fur and eyes.

Within this photograph, we see a close-up of the side of a strawberry. We know this due to the fact that the detail within the shot demonstrates the use of strawberry seeds that are in focus. The detail therefore informs the audience that it is a strawberry. The colours also allow the audience to understand what the subject is. As the shot is a close-up, we can see the colours in a better light. The red, yellow and green informs the audience. I think that this is a really good way of demonstrating a close-up as it is not of all of the strawberry but is instead some of it.
