I took this photograph during my trip to London. As I was coming back from photographing the skaters, I came across an act that were performing. I decided to take some photograyphs of them. This particular photograph I took was of the three men as they balanced on one another. I decided to take this shot because it also included members of the public in the background as they watched and clapped during the performance. This indicated a sense of 'public reaction' which was the main aim of the project. The perfomers completed a trick that included a man standing straight and having one of them wrapped around his waist and the other sitting on his shoulders. This photograph was something that I aimed to capture during this shoot because of the number of members of the public who were watching the performers. When editing this photograph I had to adjust the levels and curves due to the fact that the natural lighting within this shot made the performers quite dark and I had to adjust them without making it look too light.
In this photograph that was taken in London, we can see a group of performers that are performing a trick. The surroundings of the photograph indicate that they're in a urban setting because of the buildings seen in the background as well as the building site directly behind them. Within this group, we can see six individuals who are all wearing bright colours. The colours indicate a 'Jamaican/Carribean' feel to them. The performance consists of a trick which uses three of the six members. The main and strongest one is standing directly straight. Above him is someone on his shoulders and below him is someone who is holding onto his waist with his legs. The shot uses natural lighting. We know this because of the surroundings - they're outside. We also know this because of the shadows that have been cast on the floor in which they're performing on. We can see some shadows of trees which indicates that the light is coming from the right side of the photograph.
These photographs are similar in terms of the performance. Both shots contain the exact same performance but differ in terms of location and surroundings. The performers in my photograph and the connecting photographa re wearing the same type of clothing - bright/contrasting colours that make them stand out and attract members of the public. This performance found in both shots is used to encourage people to stop, watch and pay money towards them.
