This photograph was taken during my sellotape baby shoot in which I made a small figure made out of sellotape and placed it around the town. I decided to do this because Mark Jenkins is known for his sellotape sculptures and in order to be relatable to his work, I decided to do the same sort of idea. This particular shot shows the sellotape baby sitting on a bench as members of the public walk past. I decided to take this particular shot because I thought it would give a different perspective and enabled the viewer to see the sellotape baby as well as innocent members of the public. I then went and edited the photograph in Photoshop. I decided to adjust the keels and curves of this shot to make it stand out more. I think that this photograph is good because it indicates the sellotape baby sitting on the bench as if a normal person would do. I like my photograph purely because it captures the man on the far right looking at the sculpture and therefore captures a reaction from a passerby.
This photograph was part of a shoot that Mark Jenkins did. He decided to create a sculpture out of sellotape to try and make it stand out against the surroundings in which it was placed. In this photograph, we can see the sculpture being on the left side of the area. By looking at the sculpture, we are able to tell that it is a full sized version because of the distance from the ground. The sculpture can be seen to be leaning up against a post which is seen in the far left of the shot. The space on the right hand side is replaced by a section of the street - in this case a road and pavement. It is also filled with members of the public who can be seen in the background. This surrounding indicates that the shot was taken in a public area. The photograph uses minimal depth of field to indicate that the sellotape sculpture is closer to the lens than the people in the background. This shows that it is the main focus within this shot.
Both of these photographs contain a sculpture that has been made out of sellotape. The shotts are similar in the fact that they include members of the public within the background and the sculpture in the foreground. This indicates that the sculptures are the main focus within both of the shots. The are also similar in terms of space. The sculpture in each individual shot is seen in the left hand side of the photograph. The right hand side of both shots has been used to capture the members of the public as they walk by and get on with their daily business.
