I think that this experiment was quite interesting to complete and challenging at the same time due to the fact that it was difficult to take photographs that had a variety of backgrounds within each individual shot that was taken. I think that doing both natural and man-made backgrounds was interesting as it made the experiment a little more challenging than just focusing on one specific background. By completing two different types of backgrounds, the outcome was more varied and therefore the photographs were different each time.
Although the model is the one in focus, it is important to ensure that the background is an important factor within the shot. This photograph that I took came out quite good as the model is clearly in focus and the background is slightly blurry although you can still read the background slightly. This photograph therefore shows minimal depth of field in a way that is really effective to the eye. The blurring of the background gives the audience the insight that the photograph uses minimal depth of field. I think that this
photograph demonstrated the task thoroughly.
If I were to develop these photographs further I would research more into what looks good in terms of backgrounds. By doing more background research, my photographs would have a better outcome and therefore they would look more effective and appealing to the audience.
