Slow sync - image bank
Within this photograph, we can see three footballers. The third footballer only shows half his body compared to the other two. The main focus is on the man who is seen to be jumping in the air. This photograph uses slow sync in order to capture the sharp shot of the two footballers while showing/capturing the movement. I think that this photograph is good in terms of the technique because it demonstrates a clear understanding and ensures that the subjects are sharper than the rest of the image.
Within this photograph, we can see a group of roller skaters as they pass the lens. The photograph uses slow sync in order to capture the women in a sharper focus compared to the rest of the shot which is blurred. By using slow sync, the women's figures are able to be captured and their movement photographed which in this case works really well because there is a lot of fast pace movement in this shot which can be seen from the depth of blurring.
Within this photograph we can see a young boy who is swinging on a rope hanging from a tree. We know this photograph uses slow sync because of the difference in focus between the boy on the swing and the background surrounding him. The movement of the boy has been captured and the background has been left blurred in order for the focus to be put on him. I think that this photograph works really well because it captures slow sync in an effective way.
Within this photograph we can see a shot of a skater who is performing a trick. This photograph has used slow sync in order to capture the movement of the skater without taking the attention away from him. By having him more in focus, the audience is more likely to look at him rather than the blurred background. I think that this works really well and shows the movement of the skater.
Within this photograph, we can see a shot of a man who appears to be holding the camera himself. By looking at the background, we can tell that his is spinning around. The photo uses slow sync because of the sharpness of the man compared to the blurred movement in the background. I thick that this photograph works really well because the attention of the audience is placed straight onto the man because the rest of the shot is blurred due to his movement.
Within this photograph we can see a shot of a baby who is being spun around by the person who is holding his hands. We know that this shot uses slow sync because of the blurring in the background and the fact that the baby and the hands of the person swinging him are sharper than the rest of the shot. I think that this photograph works really well and demonstrates the movement in which the baby is taking.
